Since it’s establishment in 1976, SAE Institute has continued growing as an cohesive network of more than 50 schools worldwide offering hands on education in the areas of audio recording, music production, digital film, multimedia, animation and game development.

SAE San Francisco is the newest campus in SAE’s long legacy in training students for success in the Audio and Entertainment Industries. The studio facilities are used for education purposes only and students never have to worry about losing out valuable practical time to commercial projects. Our staff is dedicated to the success of our students and work with them to develop their personal interests in recording, producing, mixing and mastering great music. Instructors at SAE are able to teach students how all the different areas of working in a recording or production environment come together to make music.

Students take music out of the “box” and bring it to life in our fully equipped recording studios where they can use a vast array of both software and hardware to perfect their tracks. From Hip Hop to Hardcore and everything in between, students are able to interact with a variety of bands, musicians, and professionals to expand their social network of contacts in an ever-growing music industry.

SAE San Francisco currently offers two courses: the signature Audio Technology Program diploma that trains for careers in the music and post production industries, and SAE's Electronic Music Production course, a vocational training covering all the tools, tips and tricks involved in producing electronic music.
